Context 3... in for 2 weeks

You need to devise and model either: - A new startup company (entrepreneur) or - New products and services in an existing company (intrapreneur). The idea is to try and devise an entre/intra-preneurial approach to creating innovative products or services that your company provide. You should combine your specific Multimedia practice with practitioners from another Multimedia discipline. The modelling of a collaboration strategy with other practitioners is an important element of the assignment. These collaborators shouldn't necessarily be named individuals practitioners, rather they should be types of collaborators. For instance you might be a Interactive Designer looking to work with animators to create short downloadable interactive animation experiences for hospital inhabitants/visitors. Your startup company should be offering a specific product or service to your targeted customer base. This company should utilise your specific multimedia skills and should be entrepreneurial in its scope. The creative rationale for the company and its product is the most important element of this assignment and whilst this isn’t an assignment that ‘proves' the business case for your company, you do need to determine what kind of market for your product exists already. How would your company sit in its specific business sector? Is this an entirely new market? How can this market be grown? What team-skills are required? The following Creative Enterprise Toolkit has been produced by NESTA. Follow the link to download the material. There are four guides, a number of worksheets and useful case studies. http://www.nesta.org.uk/assets/features/creative_enterprise_toolkit
