Title: Company analysis
Task:
You are to research and write a report discussing your place in multimedia in terms of your network and companies that you identify, that can be connected to that network and that you are interested in working with.
Your report should include a diagram of your network identifying contacts that you already have, both at home and through your university, as well as the new contacts and companies that you discover during the course of the research for this report.
You should analyse how your contacts can help your career and find companies that you might realistically hope to work for. Many multimedia companies are small and rely on local, regular customers, you should aim to find at least one small company or practitioner local to your network, one medium sized company with a more national client base and one larger, possibly international company. Part of your research should involve considering how different sized companies work and you should try to gain an understanding of what constitutes a small, medium or large company. You should make every attempt to contact these companies so that feedback from them can be included in the report.
The report should describe the way in which you found and selected the companies and why as well as some of those that you rejected in your search and your reasons for that rejection.
The report should be more than 2000 words and no more than 3000.
