Feedback From Client

Met Robin yesterday and here are notes from what we discussed we could improve/change.
Header uses a lot of space, any way to condense it?
 Use funding arts council
Twitter and fb logos don’t have to be on every page but maybe not put them in footer?
 By news bit on homepage?
Twitter and fb logos should be the original logo so people who use site know what they are.
Colours are the same but the pencil and green colour have continuity from other site which is good.
If have time maybe change logo so it isn’t all so square – maybe hand drawn.
 Can we do weekly emails
Easy to change from public and private?
Payment should it be on a page with bookings etc or page on its own? – leave to robin
Stay login for member due to browser?

For The Use Of My Presentation - Changes Made To Interactive Space

I didn’t make many changes, I kept with the original idea & photos but added text to the photos. I had text on some photos already but changed the colour to red & blue so it would appeal to children & the font is now comic sans which I feel is a “child like” font. I added text to keep the user involved and to help them along the way with the game. I used pronouns such as “you” to make the child feel that the characters were actually talking to them. Taking the feedback into account the text to ratio amount is now more equal than before. I made the "give me a clue" image more clearer of what it means & where to click. The rollover hyperlink text on the image is now in capital letters as I felt it made it more excitable and as if the text was "shouting" at the user adding to the feel of excitment. I feel my project is now more interactive with the user and adjusts well to the audience of young children.

Here are the images I edited/changed:

Feedback On Interactive Space

I have decided to improve my interactive space as I want to use it for my main work in the assessment presentation.

The link to it is: http://makingnewmaps.com/maps/Hollie_Ferguson/index.html

I would appreciate any feedback on it both positive & negative so I can make any changes to it :)

Thank You :)

Seminar Work

Yesterday I had a 3 hour seminar with Simon Perkins. First of all we had a look at some of the photos from the visual story telling. The feedback I got on mine was that the shots weren't varied enough, I could have used a range of mid shots, close up and different angles to show emotion. I also need to show that time has elapsed if the photos don't lead straight on e.g " 2 weeks later". The pulp fiction sequence was my first and I changed the setting in almost every shot which lacks consistency & is confusing for the audience.

I have now been set the task to create a sequence for continuity. I need to make 15 images relate to each other & they can't be too different from the previous image. I have a few ideas..

My twins brothers playing " I spy with my little eye"
Making a cup of tea
Tie shoe laces up.

I will have a go at taking some photos and then put them on the blog :)

We also learnt about the idea of branching.

This is the idea where you make the decision to get to a smaller decision. There are multiple options for decision. This is what we have to do with our final project, photos that tell a story by branching out.
