These are the photos I am going to use for my final assignment for the making new maps site.
After taking forever to upload them all, I realised I hadn't changed the size to 1024 x 768 so will do this on tuesday after my lecture.

Linking Through Association
Welcome to our house!
Click the doorbell to come in & play!
Hi i'm George! And i'm Luca! We are twins!
Do you want to play a game?! Click on George if you do!
Let's go upstairs & play!
I know what we can play!
I spy with my little eye something beginning with T!
Click on what George is thinking of!
Yes toys!
Luca is bored of this game!
Let's play hide & seek!
1 2 3 4...
He won't find me here!
FOUND YOU!
My turn to count!
I can't find George anywhere!
It's time for our dinner now !
Bye! come again soon!
So this is my first attempt at linking through association, I had the idea in my head but to be honest when putting it into practical mode it didn't work as well as I wanted. It was made in mind for a young audience therefore the characters used are young so they can relate to them. However, it was hard photographing George & Luca and getting them to do what I wanted them to do as they were a bit to young to understand. I think for future reference it would be easier to work with objects & not people.
Seminar Work
Yesterday I had a 3 hour seminar with Simon Perkins. First of all we had a look at some of the photos from the visual story telling. The feedback I got on mine was that the shots weren't varied enough, I could have used a range of mid shots, close up and different angles to show emotion. I also need to show that time has elapsed if the photos don't lead straight on e.g " 2 weeks later". The pulp fiction sequence was my first and I changed the setting in almost every shot which lacks consistency & is confusing for the audience.
I have now been set the task to create a sequence for continuity. I need to make 15 images relate to each other & they can't be too different from the previous image. I have a few ideas..
My twins brothers playing " I spy with my little eye"
Making a cup of tea
Tie shoe laces up.
I will have a go at taking some photos and then put them on the blog :)
We also learnt about the idea of branching.
This is the idea where you make the decision to get to a smaller decision. There are multiple options for decision. This is what we have to do with our final project, photos that tell a story by branching out.

Visual Story Telling
I now understand my timetable so it's not just a bunch of rooms & groups. My course consists of 2 modules design practise 1 ( for first half year dp2 in second half) in which we have modules & seminars. We are split into 3 groups the first half of the year consisting of Animation, Interactive Space & Film. We do each for 3 weeks and then change. I am in group 2 so atm I am studying Interactive Space. The other module is Context in which we also have lectures & seminars.
In my DP1 seminar we rearranged images from 1000 frames of the Hitchcock film 'Vertigo' into a sequence of 5 images which I tried to make follow a linear narrative. For homework I was set to take my own photos & produce 3 sequences of 5 photos. Some include people & some include just objects. Sequence 3 was actually meant to be a meal but seeing as the dog ate it whilst I was getting a drink, chocolate & coke had to do :)

on the wednesday we were told we would make pinhole cameras from a can however i was poorly & missed out on it ! :(
